El Nino
Can you say color? Wow! I have two El Nino’s and while this one shines, the other is a scrub. They are in relatively same conditions so maybe the scrub will catch up. El Nino is a white margined, blue leaved sport of H. ‘Halcyon’. It’s a really cool plant that stands out like a bright light! This year (2008 ) it was up and unfurled early on showing up the rest of the plants in the Berry Garden. In the photo below (May 2008 ) is surrounded by later rising friends except for the one non-hosta – Brunnera Jack Frost – who is already flowering.
